Abstract

Intrapartum infection is an infection that occurs during labor. Infection can occur antepartum, in the form of chori oamnionitis, which may be asymptomatic. The purpose of this study was to describe the mother's knowledge about infection in childbirth (intrapartum infection) in the village of Pudun Jae, Dusun, Padangsidimpuan District, Batunadua, Padangsidimpuan City in 2019. This research method is descriptive. The research was conducted in Pudun Jae Dusun 1 village, Padang Sidimpuan district in 2019. The time of this research started from August 2018 to April 2019. The results showed that the description of mother's knowledge based on the category of knowing (just knowing) was 46.7% (14 respondents), very knowledgeable was 33.3% (10 respondents) in the less-know category 20.0% (6 respondents). That of the 30 respondents belonging to the tofu category, the highest education was junior high school mothers of 100.0% (3 respondents). That of the 30 respondents belonging to the tofu category, the highest is the work of self-employed mothers of 100.0% (2 people). That of the 30 respondents belonging to the tofu category, the highest were respondents who received information from electronic media, amounting to 66.7% (6 people). That of the 30 respondents belonging to the tofu category, the highest parity respondent from multipara was 66.7% (6 people).
