Gambaran Pengetahuan Ibu Tentang Penyakit Tonsilitis Pada Ibu Hamil Di Lingkungan I Manompas

Tonsillitis is inflammation of the tonsils (tonsils) caused by viruses and bacteria. The spread of this infection is transmitted through the air (air borne droplets), hands and kisses. The World Health Organization (WHO) estimates that the incidence of tonsillitis ranges from 15 to 30 million cases per year or 30% in adults and 70% in people over 65 years of age. The number of tonsillitis sufferers of 47-58% also occurs in children under 15 years (WHO, 2017). The incidence of tonsillitis in Indonesia is 214,666 or about 23%. Based on the research, 57.6% were women and 42.4% were children, mostly at the age of <18 years, namely 72.7% (Ministry of Health, 2018). The purpose of this study was to describe the mother's knowledge about tonsillitis in pregnant women in Neighborhood I Manompas. This type of research was descriptive with a simple random sampling research method of 30 people from a population of 270 people. The time of the study was started from June to September 2020. The results showed that the general description of knowledge belonging to the tofu category was (53.3); while the results of the frequency analysis showed that the tofu category was the majority or the highest was 53.3% (16 people), followed by the very knowledgeable category 33.3% (10 people) and the less knowledgeable category 13.3% (4 people). Description of knowledge based on veriable with the highest tofu category each based on age, namely 36-40 years 80.0% (4 people), based on education at PT 80.0% (4 people), based on work in civil servants 75.0 % (3 people), based on the source of information on health workers by 61.5% (8 people) and based on parity in multipara by 85.7% (6 people). The correlation between the independent and dependent variables (level of knowledge) shows that there is no significant correlation. 0.951 means that the level of confidence in the questionnaire is 0.951? = 0.904 or the ability of the questionnaire as a test tool for knowledge about tonsillitis in pregnant women The correlation of all questionnaires r = 95.1% and the coefficient.
